Paps smear is a method to screen out anyabnormal presentation in the cervix which may proceed to cervical cancer. You can have Paps smear but you needto follow up with a gynecologist to diagnose the present cause of amenorrhea or absence of periods which ifnot pregnancy can be due to abortion, stress, sleeplessness, infections or other gynecological causes.
