Thyroid and adrenal gland problems

A: Hi Welcome to the forum! It is difficult to comment on the diagnosis fully. We are just assuming that Schmidt?s syndrome is apossibility. However if at all there is an adrenal gland problem along with a thyroid problem along with athyroid problem, first adrenal gland problem should be treated. Then only a thyroid hormone should be started.Your information is right regarding this. If you can fix an early appointment, then you can stop the thyroidhormone and start after consultation. If really there is a multiple endocrine gland problem, try and get anearly appointment.Hope this helps. It is difficult to comment beyond this at this stage. Please let me know if there is...

Does anybody out there know more than tcnj or me out there? tc, at least I know someone on this board at least knows the name. Do we have anybody out there who has, or had Pheochromocytoma? Why would both of my adrenal glands be over producing testosterone?

A: Hi, The most likely cause would be the small tumor. If you do not have a Doctor that is an Endocrinologist that would be the way to go. Ask for a referral. In the meantime try not to worry. The extra testosterone in your blood sample was a good thing. It alerted the Doctor to something that is not quite right. You will get to the bottom of this and get it resolved. Best wishes to you for quick answers and a speedy recovery....
